I always look forward to spring to see just what will come up in my garden. I have to rake the leave off that I place on top to keep my perennials from freezing over the winter. After a few hours of raking I come in sore because I found muscles that I had not used all winter. It lets me be very creative. I get to lay out a fancy bouquet of flowers in my garden by adding colors that will bloom all summer long, add texture and plants that will attract birds. Gardening is a great physical workout.
